First ever ENC 2A Match to be held in Zurich will be Switzerland-Malta on April 9th 2016, on occasion of next Suisse Rugby Day
Lausanne, 01.12.2015 -With Switzerland going into winter break in 1st place of European Nations Cup Group 2A, winning the remaining two matches in the Spring of 2016 with bonus points will be crucial in defending this standing, and in earning promotion into group 1B.
The first match of 2016 will see Switzerland host Malta. For this important clash on April 9th, Stadium Utogrund in Zurich has just been chosen as the venue. The Clubs of Rugby Union Zurich and GC Zurich Rugby will join forces in organising this hugely important match together with the Swiss Rugby Union in the largest city in Switzerland. This will mark the historical first occasion on which an ENC2A match will be held in Zurich.
As usual, a kids’ rugby tournament in Zurich will open the day, followed by a curtain-raiser match of the Junior National Teams at Utogrund Stadium. The ENC2A clash Switzerland-Malta will follow at 15:00.
The Swiss Rugby Union is looking forward to organizing the Suisse Rugby Day in Zurich on April 9th, 2016.
